The Decision Board is becoming part of Dotwork!

The Decision Board was born out of the Uncertainty Project as an experiment in explicit decision making practices. Our goal was to take the all of the learnings, models, and techniques we've explored over the past year and take a shot at designing an experience purpose-built for a structured approach to decision making.

What ended up happening? We learned quite a bit about the state of decision making in organizations today and the implications that has on tools that try to address these problems (e.g. the Decision Board). We're excited to take these learnings with us as we build next generation capabilities to support strategic decision making with Dotwork.

The Decision Board is moving to Dotwork - now what?

First off, to all of those who gave the Decision Board a chance, we couldn't be more thankful for your interest and feedback. Moving forward as part of Dotwork, anyone involved in the Decision Board will have priority in the various stages of early access, beta, and eventually the general availability of the product. We're currently seeking design partners to help shape the first solutions on top of the Dotwork platform. Systematic decision making will, of course, be a key focus throughout, but we're working with design partners on all kinds of solutions around product operations, portfolio management, and strategy.

Who does the design partnership make sense for? We think the best fit is organizations surpassing Dunbar's number (150+ employees) or larger that are dealing with some gnarly cross-functional problems. You're probably either hiring operations roles (product operations, program managers, etc...) or scaling these functions. These teams are the glue that keeps things aligned and running smoothly - and we believe can help them connect the dots in a meaningful way.

What's happening to your Decision Board account?

On December 15th, all Decision Board accounts will be deactivated. If you have data in Decision Board that you would like to preserve, we can provide an export of that data. You can reach out to me personally at kyle@dotwork.com to request an export. After December 15th, we will still run exports for one more month, but after January 12th, we will no longer support exports.

Everyone who has been part of Decision Board will also be subscribed to Dotwork updates. If you do not want to be subscribed to updates moving forward, please reach out and let me or the team know, or simply click 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of any of the Dotwork emails.
